Need to blog about Sarah Thompson...

First off, this is her piece (Mira) which was 1st Place in Bead Dreams and Best in Show Runner-up at this years' Bead & Button Show...

I cannot believe someone can bend different thicknesses of wire with their hands into this beautiful elegant and delicate piece. To me, one who suffers from arthritis in my hands just cannot fathom how she does it. However, I have tried this art but my fingers just won't cooperate.

Le Bijou Perle Pendant by Manek-Manek Beads again...

I had posted about Helena's (Helena Tang-Lim (The Manek Lady)) beadwork previously (see below). This piece has a lot of work (rounds) to complete. I don't know how these bead artists come up with these beautiful designs, it never ceases to amaze me. The first one I made was looking like crapola, so I pulled it apart and tried again, and this is my final piece...

Not my colors of choice but I wanted to use what I have...

You can purchase her tutorials like I did at http://manek-manek.com/.

Heart-to-Heart Bracelet by Janet Palumbo...

Here is my rendition of Janet Palumbo's Heart-to-Heart Bracelet that was in Beadwork Magazine (Aug/Sep 2013). It was fun to make...

Heather Collin's Armband, Boleyn Cuff

This cuff was in Perlen Poesie (a wonderful German Beading magazine), Nov 2012 issue. It is designed by Heather Collin. I just love the beads she used. I thought for sure I could make one just as kool with the colors I picked out, however, I was disappointed in them. Here is the one I made...

Linda L. Jones Right-Angle Weave Cuff...

I've been wanting to do this for a while. It was in Bead & Button Magazine years ago, I don't know when, sorry. I loved it. It was easy to make because her instructions were very good.  Here is the one I made from her instructions...

Succulent Garden Bracelet...

This bracelet was designed by Yasmin Sarfati.  The instructions for it was in Beadwork Magazine, Aug/Sep 2013 issue. I loved it, it was easy to make, and she created great instructions. Here is the one I made...

Alice Kharon Faberge Earrings...

The instructions for these were in Beading Daily Magazine by Alice Kharon. I'm sorry but I don't know which issue, but it was in 2013. I loved them, and they were easy to make, so I made three pairs...

Manek-Manek Beads...

The artist is Helena Tang-Lim (The Manek Lady) whom I discovered on Facebook and have marveled at her beading for a few years now, but I told myself I need to add her to my blog. Her beading is AMAZING!!!  There are way too many masterpieces for me to show them all, so I've just selected a few of my favorites.  Just take a look at these jewels...

I've purchased many of her tutorials, she's one of my favorites for tutorials/kits.
For example one of her pieces I first starting noticing how fantastic her beading is was this her Lady Madeleine's Necklace below...

I had to have the tutorial. Haven't made one yet though   ; /

Just this week in the August 2013 issue of BeadAndButton magazine, her Le Bijou Perle pendant is displayed.  It does not look beaded!!! And that is very rare...

just ordered this tutorial!

Contemporary Geometric Beadwork...

This is just one of many books, and books to be released for this popular type of geometric beading. It already has over 3,000 Facebook followers, just since the release of this latest book.

Beaders from across the country are beading these masterpiece bracelets, rings, and other items, each different in shape and color combinations, using mostly Miuyuki Delica beads because each bead is the same size, shape, and color as the next bead. Each piece was created from a series of putting together many forms of the same geometric design. Here are just some that are very inspiring...

Personally, I can't wait to get started. I've just ordered over 30 different delica colors, that I didn't have, and I must have over 200 tubes already. I just hope I can create some pieces that are just as worth as theirs.
